2017 - Living the Life of Faith

“Win Every Battle”

God promises us as the seed of Abraham, through Jesus Christ, that ‘I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee and make thy name great: and though shalt be a blessing” (Genesis 12:@ KJV) Another translation says “And I will make you a great nation…and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others] (AMPC).

This is a powerful promise and part of our reigning as kingdom citizens through the Blessing of Abraham. But the tendency of some believers is to think that they can go through life and do nothing, and God will make their name great. Wrong!

Then there’s another group of believers who do fight, but think they must stay in the same battle for days, months or even years…Like the man by the pool of Bethesda who had been struggling to get his healing for 38 years, or the children of Israel who had been in a face-off with Goliath for 40 days before a 17-year-old named David came to the front line.

Listen to what David said when facing the giant. ‘‘THIS DAY will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beast of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.’’ (1 Samuel 17:46)

Develop ‘’Speedily’’ Faith

Jesus tells us in Like 18:8 that ‘he will avenge them (us) speedily.’’ Another translation says ‘’I tell you that He (God) will judge in their favor, and (do it) quickly’’ (Complete Jewish Bible). Satan’s strategy is to wear you down by standing in the way of your progress and advancement. Whether you realize it or not, he has vowed to stop you and make your destiny look impossible. But God has promised you victory, and ‘’speedily’’.

Why don’t many of God’s Children believe this? Because of what they’ve been taught. You’ve heard the expression, ‘’He may not come when you want him, but He’s always on time.’’ Well, REAL FAITH declares (says) when things will happen and time must bow to that decree, whether it involves your healing, finances or praters being answered. Time, like money, is to be our servant and not our master. God can and will deliver us speedily…right on time.

The Bible warns not only to take heed what you hear, but also ‘’Take heed therefore how you hear…’’(Luke 8:18). If you hear God’s Word through wrong filters, such as prejudice, negative experiences, or the bad teaching of a religious upbringing, you will end up believing in something other than what God said. This is called unbelief.
